Who We Are
Go Power Battery is one of the oldest continuous distributers of second life product in Arizona. In 1977 Joe DeChristina purchased a truck and a battery tester and decided to start Go Power Battery. After years of hard work and dedication, he built a great name for Go Power Battery here in Phoenix Arizona. In 2009 Joe was ready to turn over the reins to his nephew Dan Harwood. Joe decided that Dan would take Go Power Battery to the next level and transitioned Dan to become the new owner.
Dan decided to leave his position with the Phoenix Suns and his real estate ventures to start a new career in the battery business. Over the course of the next 6 years, Dan worked with Joe to build Go Power Battery to be a battery leader not only in Phoenix but the state of Arizona. Dan’s drive for developing the recycling aspects as well as distribution of our second-life product saw Go Power Battery well positioned for the next generation.
In 2015 a proud chapter was concluded while an exciting new story was to be written as Dan purchased Go Power Battery and became the sole owner of the family business. Understanding the importance of family values and a strong team, Dan knew he needed to bring his wife into the fold. Previously working at a large, financial institution as Vice-President of Human Resources, Mary strengthened the backbone of Go Power Battery. Together Dan and Mary continue to reinforce our family values while building Go Power Battery’s vision, and as we transition to a new decade, our family will always continue looking for opportunities to grow our brand and reach your business and family’s needs.
